We all need community and connections
Community in the small business world is SO important! Referrals, reviews, shoutouts, likes, follows, saves, and reposts are HUGE with the KNOW, LiKE, and TRUST factor you have with your audience.
Let’s rewind back to 2020 (before everything shut down in March), I was a family and portrait photographer trying to break into the branding niche of photography. In comes Annie… Annie and I (and our husbands) were in a community group together. She was going into real estate and I convinced her to let me take her first marketing photos. We shot for a few hours, laughed A LOT and I delivered a few good images and waaaayyy too many mediocre images. I think that gallery had 300 photos because I didn’t know how to cull it down to the best of the best. All that to say… I had some learning to do in branding photography. Annie believed in me, referred me to everyone she knew, and continued to book sessions.
The feeling is mutual… Annie is a KILLER REALTOR and the girl you want on your team when you are buying a house! She helped my parents secure their new build on an amazing lot with stunning backyard views, checked in on the building process for a full year, AND made sure to stay connected with her St. Louis buyers every time they were in town. THEN… she helped us find our dream home! After three unsuccessful offers in the heat of the housing market, we found THE ONE. Annie was there every step of the way including all of the tours, inspections, open house, and staging of our previous home for sale. She sold it in one weekend! She really wants the best for her clients and goes the extra mile.
We’ve had over six shoots together in the last three years and continue to inspire each other to dream big. Here’s what she said about our last shoot:
I share this not to say “look at me and look how far I’ve come.” Instead, I want to recognize the people who have helped me succeed and encourage you to come alongside your business owner friends. Thank you Annie for being a friend and encouraging me in my life and business!
We need each other, we need community and we need others to support our big ideas. Annie is my friend, supporter, fellow mom encourager, and realtor.
