(Spoiler alert: We’re busting all the personal brand photo myths… so proceed with caution.)
I only need one photo… just a headshot.
A headshot is boring, stiff, formal, and generic. Also, they’re old-fashioned and quickly being replaced by lifestyle branding photos that are customized to your personality, brand, and interests. They tell your story and help you stand out! Don’t get me wrong, yes we will definitely get you a headshot, but we will add some personality to it to make you stand out.
My Phone Takes Great Pics
Sure, phones take great photos these days! But personal branding photos are so much more than just a picture. Have you ever asked your best friend or significant other to take a few (or 20) photos of you only to hate all of them?? When you work with a professional photographer, we are doing more than just snapping the photo – we pose you, find the best light, adjust your hair and even check for the broccoli in your teeth. That’s more than my phone can do.
I’m Not Ready
There’s always a reason to put off your branding photo session, but you’re not going to show up like the pro you are and build instant connections with your audience until you invest in lifestyle branding images. (PS. You don’t need to lose 10 pounds, get a new wardrobe, or have a certain number of Instagram followers before you “deserve” to have professional photos. I promise!) I’d even say that sometimes booking a brand shoot is the extra kick you need to thrive in your business.
They’re too expensive OR I need to make more money first
Brand photos are an investment, and they have significant ROI. Most business owners make back their investment in photos with one client… and then see increased sales and acquire new clients with ease, thanks to their lifestyle brand images. Marketing photos are there to help you make even more money. Bonus: Your session is a tax write-off.
